Participated in a Retirement Readiness Tool for a large retirement company. I participated in the project by being the main ux designer designing wireframes for the managers side of the tool, which let the managers know how their participants where doing based on data visualizations. I collaborated with the business stakeholders and the client’s visual design team.
I started by understanding all the information needed for this tool. I collected their decks, white-papers, powerpoints, and graphs. They had all their content in variety of formats. Afterwards, when I started understand and grouping the content, I created an IA map for the retirement tool and started wireframing. I had to study their design guidelines since the designs need to be made around those restrictions. I had to research a lot of data visualization in order to create the right graph for the right content.
I analyzed the content with the lead designer in my team. I would sketch rough ideas of the content I gathered and synthesized. After her approval, I would do basic flows and wireframes. I presented the annotated wireframes to the business stakeholder until they validated the design solution. Once approved, I delivered the designs to their visual designer.
